MEDICAL CARE FOR OLD AGE INMATES
This is a scheme instituted during January 2007, by the KSS, with view to provide medical aid to the inmates of the Old age home. At present there are 14 inmates in the old age home in the age group of 65 to 95 years. ( 13 women & 1 man). However due to paucity of funds we were unable to meet the medical expenses of the inmates.
The health and condition of the inmates is deteriorating gradually and we want to meet their medical expenses for minor ailments and if required, employ a 24 hour Nurse to look after them . The cost of maintaining a Nurse will be about Rs . 75,000 per year.
For this purpose, a fund called MEDICAL SUPPORT FUND (MSF) was set up in Jan 2007.

- Lack of basic amenities like water, drinking water, electricity, medical help, etc.
- Accidents, damages to their houses due to heavy rains, etc.
The KSS is the flag bearer of the community, and therefore we start our next project as a welfare scheme for the community and call it ………
“SAHAYA HASTHA” YOJANE
- Where the problem is of urgent financial help - provide money with a ceiling of about Rs.10,000 as in DRF fund as immediate relief.
- Where the problem is of infrastructure development,- a committee of MC members can visit the location, estimate the requirement and if possible even implement the scheme.
- Where the problem is of livelihood due to extreme poverty,- we can offer monetary help for “sustainance” at the rate of say Rs.500 per month for a maximum period of one year per case.
We request the support of the Community for this new venture.
